Cancellation and changes

Cancel up to 24 hours before departure and you pay nothing. Here is the whole policy, including what happens when we are the ones who have to change your date.

Free cancellation up to 24h before departure

What you actually paid

You pay a 20% deposit by card when you book, and the balance on site on the day. A cancellation therefore only ever involves that deposit — the larger part of the price was never charged in the first place.

Cancelling more than 24 hours ahead

Cancel at any point up to 24 hours before your departure time and there is no fee at all. The deposit is returned in full.

The fastest route is to reply to your confirmation, because it identifies both the booking and the operator holding your seats.

Inside 24 hours, and no-shows

Once you are inside the last 24 hours, the operator has committed a skipper, a boat and seats that can no longer be resold, and the deposit is not refunded.

If you do not arrive at the meeting point at the confirmed time, the booking counts as used. If you are simply running late, call the operator number in your confirmation — a delayed guest is a far easier problem than a missing one.

Moving the date instead

If your dates shift, ask before you cancel. More than 24 hours out we will look at moving your booking to another departure, subject to capacity on the new date — your deposit stays where it is rather than travelling back and forth.

Ask for a move the same way you would ask for a cancellation, and we will confirm the new date against the operator's capacity before anything is changed.

If we cancel or move your trip

Water levels, conditions and equipment can force a change from our side. When that happens we contact you directly rather than leaving you to discover it at the river.

You choose: another departure that suits you, or a full refund of your deposit. There is no situation in which a trip we cancel costs you money.

Cancellation questions

How late can I cancel for free?

Up to 24 hours before your departure time. Inside that window the deposit is not refundable.

Do I lose the whole price if I cancel late?

No. Only the 20% deposit was ever charged — the balance is paid on site, so a late cancellation costs you the deposit and nothing more.

Can I move my booking to another day instead?

Ask us more than 24 hours ahead and we will look at moving it, subject to capacity on the new date.

What if the conditions are bad?

If water levels or conditions mean the operator cannot run the trip safely, it does not run. You then choose between another date and a full refund of your deposit.

What if you cancel?

You choose between another departure and a full refund of the deposit. A cancellation from our side never costs you money.
