The same river day the Sarajevo agencies sell

This is the classic Neretva route with the return transfer from Sarajevo folded into one price of €80 per person. It is the trip an agency in Sarajevo or Mostar sells you — bought instead from the town the river runs through.

Through an intermediary the comparable day tends to land between €70 and €91 per person, and the operator who actually takes you down the river is usually never named. Here the price is fixed before you click, and the operator's name, licence and phone number arrive with your confirmation.

The €80 is not a convenience premium either. The river day is €50 and the transfer is €30, which is exactly what the two cost separately.

What the price covers

The transfer from Sarajevo to the river and back, four to five hours on the water at class II–III with a licensed skipper, all the rafting gear, and lunch at the base after the run.

One booking, one price, and no booking fee at checkout. A 20% deposit confirms the seats and the balance is paid on site on the day.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

Anyone in Sarajevo without a car — or with a car and no appetite for driving a mountain road twice in one day.

If you are already in Konjic or driving through anyway, book classic rafting at €50 and skip the transfer. It is the same day on the water.

It is also the simplest booking if you are travelling without a plan for the day: one price, one confirmation, and a pickup time you can build the rest of your stay around.

What's included

  • ✓4–5h on the water
  • ✓Gear included
  • ✓Licensed skipper
  • ✓Transfer from Sarajevo
  • ✓Lunch at base

What's not included

  • —The visit to Tito's bunker, which is optional
  • —Anything you buy at the base beyond the included lunch

Both add-ons are chosen when you book: the transfer from Sarajevo is €30 per person, and the visit to Tito's bunker is €25 per person.

What to bring

The operator provides the gear you raft in. Bring:

  • ✓Swimwear to raft in
  • ✓A towel and a full change of dry clothes
  • ✓Shoes that can get wet and stay on your feet
  • ✓Sunscreen, and a strap if you wear glasses
  • ✓A little cash for anything extra at the base

Where you'll be: Konjic on the Neretva

The base is near Konjic, in the valley the Neretva runs through, about 50 minutes south of Sarajevo. That proximity is the practical argument for rafting here instead of driving roughly two hours in each direction to the Tara.

If you don't have a car, the transfer from Sarajevo costs €30 per person and can be added to the family or classic trip — or you can book rafting with transfer at €80, which already includes the drive in both directions.

Booking, deposit and cancellation

Pick a date and the number of guests. The booking is checked against the operator's capacity for that departure and confirmed instantly — or not at all.

A 20% deposit is charged by card and the balance is paid on site on the day. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure; if we have to move the trip, you choose between another date and a full refund.

Who runs your day on the river

Via Neretva sells this trip and is responsible for it. The day itself is run by a licensed rafting operator based in Konjic — their skippers, their boats, their briefing.

We name that operator, with the licence they run under and a phone number, in your confirmation. Before you pay we can't, because capacity moves between partners; after you pay there is no reason not to.

Questions about this trip

Is the transfer included in the €80?

Yes, in both directions, along with the four-to-five-hour river day, gear, licensed skipper and lunch at the base.

How long is the drive?

About 50 minutes each way between Sarajevo and Konjic — against roughly two hours in each direction to the Tara.

Do I need a car?

No. That is the entire point of this trip.

Why is this cheaper than a Sarajevo agency?

Because there is one seller instead of two. The river day is €50, the transfer €30, and nothing is added for passing the booking along.

Can I book just the rafting?

Yes. Classic rafting is €50 per person and you arrange your own way to Konjic.

Who runs the rafting itself?

A licensed operator based in Konjic. You get their name, the licence they run under and a phone number when the booking is confirmed.
